Your data will need to be moved using something like Robocopy or better yet, you can use Storage Migration Services that not only will move the files and their permissions, it will recreate your shares for you. Any devices with manual IP addresses will need to be updated with the new DNS settings. You'll need to update your DHCP settings to point DNS on the clients to the new DC. If using your old server for DHCP, that will need to be migrated and it normally is a simple process.
The new server will be joining your existing domain as a DC so that takes care of Active Directory and DNS - that info will be automatically replicated. That you are going from Standard to Essentials really doesn't matter - what you are doing is the same as going from Standard to Standard and there are many how-to's out there. There is no "in-place" migration available going from Standard to Essentials which doesn't really matter since you are getting hardware.
